ARCHITECTURE
Architecture, Fully Realized
At LG Squared, beauty and elegance are not separate from how a building performs - they are the result of it.
We design homes through proportion, light, and order - where form is deliberate, lines are disciplined, and each space unfolds with clarity and intent. This is architecture that is composed, not assembled.
Structure, enclosure, and systems are conceived together - quietly shaping the architecture rather than competing with it. What you see is calm and resolved. What you don’t see is equally considered.
This is not architecture layered with engineering.
It is architecture informed by building physics - and elevated through restraint, material, and craft.
Beneath the composition is rigor. Air, heat, and moisture are controlled from the outset - supporting comfort, durability, and long-term health without disrupting the architecture.
The result is a home that feels effortless, grounded, and enduring - where beauty is inseparable from how it works.
Craftsmanship gives it presence.
Precision gives it longevity.
Beauty makes it timeless.

INTERIORS
Interiors, Thoughtfully Composed
At LG Squared, beauty and elegance lead - expressed through proportion, light, and a disciplined use of material.
We design spaces that feel calm, ordered, and intentional - where scale, alignment, and sequence create a quiet sense of luxury. Each room is composed, not decorated. Lines carry through. Materials transition with purpose. Light is shaped to reveal texture and depth throughout the day.
Our interiors extend the architecture seamlessly - refined, restrained, and built with clarity.
Beneath that clarity is rigor. Materials are chosen not only for their character, but for their durability and their role in supporting a healthy, comfortable environment - contributing to long-term quality of life.
Every junction is resolved. Nothing is arbitrary. The result is an interior that feels effortless, elevated, and enduring.

Building Science & Enclosure Design
Architecture is either protected by its enclosure - or undone by it.
A home stands between order and the elements: rain, air, heat, and moisture. Those forces do not negotiate. Our role is to control them - so the architecture endures as it was intended.
As a consulting partner, we integrate into the design and construction process - working alongside the architect, builder, and team to develop an enclosure that performs as a cohesive system. We bring clarity at the moments that matter most, translating building physics into buildable, precise solutions that support the design.
A Systems Approach
Homes rarely fail in the middle of a wall. They fail at transitions - where roof meets wall, window meets structure, and systems meet the enclosure. These moments require coordination and intent.
We evaluate and guide the project as a complete system - aligning enclosure, structure, mechanical strategy, and site so every layer works in concert:
Water is directed.
Air is controlled and verified.
Vapor is managed by climate and assembly.
Thermal layers remain continuous.
Materials are chosen to endure.
We collaborate closely with the team to develop details, review assemblies, and support execution - ensuring the enclosure is not only well-designed but built as intended.
The result is architecture that holds its line - visually and physically. Interiors remain calm, quiet, and consistent. Materials age with dignity. The design stays intact.
Craftsmanship makes it visible.
Building science makes it last.

Building FORENSICS & INSPECTIONS
Buildings do not fail randomly.
They fail for predictable reasons.
The leading cause of building failure is simple: Water. Water. Water. Bulk rainwater. Air-transported moisture. Condensation.
As Joe Lstiburek has stated for decades, most problems trace back to a small set of fundamental failure modes: uncontrolled rainwater, air leakage, vapor trapping, thermal bridging, poor drying potential, pressure in balances, mechanical oversizing, duct leakage, and unintended condensation at cold surfaces. The details vary. The physics do not.
When moisture is not controlled, it leads to the same outcomes every time: mold growth, rot, corrosion, and material decay. Mold is not mysterious. Wood does not rot without staying wet. Decay organisms require moisture. If assemblies remain dry - or are allowed to dry quickly - these problems do not take hold.
The goal of an existing home is no different than the goal of anew one: keep it dry and make it hard for mold to grow.
When a high-end home begins to feel off, the signs are often subtle:
- A faint color
- Dust that returns too quickly
- Rooms that never quite feel right
- Humidity drifting out of range
- Cracking finishes
- Mechanical systems behaving unpredictably
These are symptoms. Not causes.
We investigate from first principles.
Where is the water entering?
Where is air moving that shouldn’t?
Where is moisture trapped without a drying path?
Where are systems creating pressure or temperature imbalances?
Where do materials transition - and who detailed that transition?
Most failures originate at interfaces: roof-to-wall, wall-to-foundation, window-to-envelope, duct-to-envelope, system-to-structure. That is where we look first.
What We Do
- Investigate moisture intrusion, condensation, comfort imbalance, and indoor air quality concerns
- Perform on-site diagnostics and clear documentation - what is happening, why, and where
- Identify root causes using building science fundamentals
- Provide prioritized, discreet remediation strategies
- Offer pre-purchase or pre-renovation assessments when requested
We do not guess.
We do not chase symptoms.
We do not recommend unnecessary demolition.
We identify the physics at play and translate it into clear next steps for you, your builder, and your mechanical team.
Because durable homes are not mysterious.
They stay dry.
They manage air.
They allow assemblies to dry when needed.
They keep systems in balance.
When something is wrong, it is usually one of those fundamentals.
We find it.
And we correct it intelligently.

Plumbing & HVAC Design
The Fundamentals
This is a dedicated consulting service - independent of our architectural work - integrated into projects led by homeowners, builders, architects, interior designers, and building biology professionals.
Comfort is note quipment.
Air quality is not a filter upgrade.
Durability is not luck.
Most systems fail because they are oversized, poorly distributed, unbalanced, or disconnected from the building they serve.
We approach HVAC as architecture - where air, temperature, and humidity are shaped with the same intention as space, light, and proportion.
Plumbing is treated the same way - designed for efficiency, responsiveness, and integration. Hot water is delivered quickly, with minimal waste, through layouts that prioritize short runs, intelligent routing, and alignment with how the home is used.
When aligned, the result is simple: quiet systems, even temperatures, stable humidity, fast hot water, and clean air that feels effortless.
The Process
We begin withthe building.
Model loads, airflow, and moisture - no rules of thumb.
Design plumbing layouts for low time-to-tap and minimal waste.
Select systems that fit the building, not the other way around.
Design distribution for quiet, balanced delivery.
Integrate early with the full team - no conflicts, no compromises.
Pressure-check the system - airflow, leakage, and balance.
Verify in the field so what’s designed is what gets built.
This isn’t about more equipment. It’s about alignment - so the systems support the architecture, not fight it.
